This morning I got up pretty early and headed out on my own for the airport since no one was flying out at the same time as me. I had a very uneventful flight on EasyJet and then landed in London! Since I flew to Gatwick I needed to buy a train ticket to take me into the city, and the furthest they would take me was Victoria Station. From Victoria, I took a cab to Strand Palace Hotel, where I was staying for the night. This hotel is the PERFECT hotel for me. It is so nice and everyone is so accommodating; as soon as I pulled up in the cab they opened the door for me and took my bags. After checking in, I went immediately to Chipotle since I had been craving it for weeks. It wasn't quite the same as in America, but it was similar enough to tide me over for the rest of the trip. On the walk back from Chipotle a sale sign caught my eye in the window of a store called Jigsaw, so I ended up buying two new tops that were on sale. After a quick rest at the hotel and a call to the family, I decided to see a live show to end the night. I chose to go to School of Rock, and this must have been the right choice because as I was buying my ticket, a family came up with an extra ticket and offered it to me for free! My lucky day! The show was pretty good, not my favorite but the children in the cast were crazy talented so I still really enjoyed watching, and after it was over I walked back to the hotel through Covent Garden. Seeing all of the shopping really got me excited to come back and look around when everything would be open!
