Today's forecast was right, thank GOODNESS. It was still pretty gross and humid out, but our classroom wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday. Our instructors switched today, so we had someone new and it was a VERY different class. Our old instructor always let us have like an hour of group work and then we'd get out of class early, but today's class ran for the full three hours. After our usual lunch at Bush House we came back to the dorms and most everyone left for a weekend trip somewhere or another. There were lots of people heading to Amsterdam and Brussels, so I gave them some pointers on what I thought was especially fun/interesting there. I mostly spent the day inside resting and working on classwork for the UW program I just finished, but later in the day I took a trip to the Blue Post, the pub where my dad used to work. It has expanded to have multiple locations since he worked there, but I of course visited the same location where he worked. They also renovated the location in 2015 so it was very different from what he described, but it was still cool to visit! I think I will treat this weekend like a tourist visit to London since I haven't done a lot of sightseeing since arriving. Tomorrow I have reservations at the State Rooms in Buckingham Palace! Should be very cool. More to come later!
