Today started with a visit to the state rooms inside Buckingham Palace, which were SO beautiful! My favorite was the white drawing room, but really they were all so beautiful. The whole place was a dream, especially the insane garden in the back. We weren't allowed to take any pictures inside, but I got one from the back when I was in the garden and I also bought a little souvenir book with pictures the palace authorized so that I have some evidence of each room.

After about an hour at the palace, I left and headed to Harrod's. It was pretty exactly how I remembered it, but it's always fun to walk around and see all the nice stuff. I went back to look at the silver picture frames that my mom was so interested in when we were here in March, but I didn't buy anything at Harrod's because everything there is so expensive! Leaving Harrod's I wasn't really sure what else I wanted to do, so I went to Leicester Square to check the half price ticket booth for any good deals. At the official ticket booth there weren't ANY good deals, but I spotted a small booth on my way back to the tube that had cheap tickets so I bought one for Mamma Mia! With a few hours before the show started I figured I should knock one more thing off my list, so I went to King's Cross and found Platform 9 3/4!

The line to take an official picture was an hour and a half long, so this was the only picture I really got, but just seeing it was cool enough for me! Plus I bought a little souvenir ticket so I can always remember it. I had just enough time between leaving King's Cross and the start of Mamma Mia! to grab a quick dinner at Five Guys, which was delicious. The show itself was AMAZING, absolutely the best show I've seen to date. The cast was outstanding, especially the actress who played Donna. She had the most beautiful vocals I've ever heard and it really elevated the whole show for me. But beyond just the quality of the show, it was so fun to hear the audience sing along because all the songs are so well known. Today was so fun and I can't wait for tomorrow!
